

Eula F. Bowser, 89 of Odessa, Texas passed away October 27, 2017 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas. She was born February 04, 1928 in Cameron, Texas to the parents of Leola Malone and Dierce S. Walker. Eula attended school in Milam County. She united in holy matrimony to John T. Bowser in 1947. They moved to Odessa in 1949. To this union was born four children. Eula is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John T. Bowser and daughter Madeline Bowser (Douglas), sister Odessa Havanna Moore and two brothers, Amos Preston Walker Sr., David S. Walker. Eula was a founding and faithful member of the former Johnson Chapel AME Church of Odessa and attended St. Matthew Baptist Church and Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church, both of Odessa, prior to a lengthy illness. Eula leaves to cherish and honor her memory; one sister, Ophelia Walker of Dallas, Texas; one son John E. Bowser (Clydia) of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Linda Hodge of Odessa, Texas and Carolyn Carroll (David) of Atlanta, Georgia; five grandchildren, Reggie Hodge, Chanel (E.L.) Campbell, Shundu Douglas, Chad (Dana) Carroll and Brittany Carroll; two great grandchildren, Johnna Campbell and Declan Carroll; in addition to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Message from her family: God saw you were getting tired, And a cure was not to be, So he put his arms around you, And whispered, "Come to Me." With tearful eyes we watched you, And saw you slip away. Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home, 601 North Alleghaney Avenue, Odessa, TX 79761. Services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, November 3, 2017 at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemet
