G.H “Pete” Valdez 71 years of age passed away on April 23, 2012 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born on April 26, 1940 in Colorado City, Texas to Leonardo and Maria Valdez. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Robert Valdez. Pete is survived by his wife; Celia Valdez of Odessa, sons John Valdez of Odessa, Richard Valdez and wife Loly of Houston, 4 sisters, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A Rosary was recited at 7 PM on Wednesday April 25, 2012 at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 PM on Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Reverend Joseph Uecker officiating. Pallbearers will be Juan Gutierrez, Cruz Loe, Mike Loe, Manuel Herredia, Cruz Carrasco and Robet Flores. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery (Rose Hill Section).
