

Glen Jourdon Cox, 84, of Odessa, TX. died Tuesday, February 9th 2016. Glen Cox, son of Ralph and Vera Cox, loving husband of Margaret Lester Cox, passed away at Medical Center Hospital, after having a heart attack late in the evening on Tuesday, February 3rd. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret, his son Lewis, three daughters, Glenda, Lynda and Tammy.
He was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and could recite everyone of their birthdays, and took a deep interest in all of their sports and activities.
Glen grew up on a farm in East Texas, and later served in the Army, as a Sergeant First Class during the Korean War. After working in the oil field, for 48 years, Glen went on to dedicate his time to Sherwood Baptist Church, delivered food for Meals on Wheels, and served food for Baptist Student Ministries at UTPB. Glen loved worship, spending time with his family, building in his workshop, helping others in need, and of course football. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
The viewing will be Friday, February 12th from 6-8PM, at Hubbard-Kelley Funeral Home, and the church service will be held Saturday, February 13th at 2 pm at Sherwood Baptist church. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Glen’s favorite charity, Meals on Wheels. If you would like to share a favorite memory about Glen, we would love to hear it.
