James Lewis Dolloff of Odessa, Texas went home to be with the Lord on January 26, 2018. James was born on January 10, 1934 in Seagraves, Texas to Lon and Veda Dolloff. He is survived by his daughter-in-law Jerri Dolloff of Hobbs, NM, granddaughters Becky Dolloff and Vanessa of Odessa, TX, Kim Baer with husband Phillip Baer of Odessa, TX, and Samantha Dolloff of Hobbs, NM; great-grandchildren are Brennan Baer, Barron Baer (to arrive in March), Eathan, Olivia, Gio all of Odessa, TX, and Jayden Russell of Hobbs, NM; Three sisters Mae Bandy of Buda, TX, Martha Middleton of Pueblo, CO, and Mary Barron of Lubbock, TX.
James is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers LJ, Jack, Joe, and Curtis Dolloff, 7 sisters Sue Payne, Pearl Minor, Billie Hall, Helen Thomason, Blanch Dolloff, Frances Sigers, and Judy Dixon; his son James Dolloff Jr., one granddaughter Skyla Russell.
James was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He served his country in the US Army from May of 1956 to July of 1962. He enjoyed socializing through organizations including The Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang, The American Legion and The Fraternal Order of Eagles. A Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Monday, January 29, 2018 at 10:00a.m. at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. A Jimmy Braswell will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate James’s Life with family and friends.
