Our Dad, Jimmie Lee Crawford, 80, went home Thursday, October 28, 2010 to be with his ultimate fishing Buddy, his Lord and Savior. Dad gave it his all at whatever he did.
Dad had many hobbies in his venture here on earth. First of all Dad was a devoted husband to Mom, and father to Sis and I. He was always there for us. He taught us life through all the things he did. Dad was an avid fisherman and hunter. He fished and hunted in many states and Mexico. As a child Lake Norfolk was Dad’s favorite place to fish . His other favorite places were when He was with his family, friends and buddies at various Lakes. Dad has been around long enough to hear all the fish stories, however the most important one was when he accepted Christ at the age of 33. Dad accepted as the one true fish story, Dad was a good example to all. He helped with the bus ministry at Sherwood Baptist Church for many years, and after he retired he worked with woodworking and sending the products of his hands to the Scottish Rite Hospital. Our father was a devoted Master Mason and this was one of the ways he could return the fruits to those children in the hospital. Dad had such a giving heart that he helped several children that were less fortunate to get help thru the Scottish Rite Hospital, even to his grandson. Dad had the best heart even though he didn’t tell you that I love you in words, his actions spoke way more. He loved his grandchildren and did everything for them.
