

born March 20, 1932 in Lajitas, Texas to Juan and Felicitas Alvarado Miranda. At the age of 18 Juan would move to Odessa
where he met his wife Vicenta Garcia. Vicenta and Juan were married on April 24 , 1952 and to this unification was born 14
children. Juan was a loving husband, father, and a devoted Christian and missionary administering the word of God to
countless villages, towns, and ranches in Northern Mexico or wherever God would move him to speak his name. Mr. Miranda
was preceded in death by 1st wife Vicenta Miranda, parents, one brother; Gilberto Miranda, two sisters; Concepcion Sanchez
and Rita Munoz, two daughters; Consuelo Ramirez, and Fatima Lourdes Miranda, one grandson; Johnny Alexander Miranda.
He is survived by 2nd wife; Olaia Carrasco Miranda of Odessa, three sisters; Aubina Portillo of Odessa, Petra Baca of
Odessa, and Margarita Munoz and husband Jose Munoz of Odessa, one brother; Jose Munoz of Fort Worth, Texas, seven
sons; Manuel Miranda, John Andrew Miranda, Gene G. Miranda, Anthony Miranda, Mark Miranda, Michael Miranda, Malachi
Miranda, all of Odessa, five daughters; Patsy Rios husband Jesse, Martha Miranda, Gloria Miranda, Mary Lou Miranda, all of
Odessa, Tabitha Natividad husband Salvador of San Angelo, Texas. 30 Grandchildren and 22 Great-Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Miranda, Romeo Mendoza, Joe Mendoza, Jasper Miranda, Michael Miranda, and Richie
Miranda. A prayer service will be held at 7pm Sunday January 6, 2013 at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. A Chapel Service will
be held at 2pm Monday January 7, 2013 at Odessa Funeral Home with Reverend: Paul Clark officiating. Interment to follow at
Ector County Cemetery Rosehill Section.
