

Judy Kay Lightfoot, 52, of Odessa, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 6, 2012. Judy was born on June 20, 1959 to Tommy and Kay Harris. She grew up in Odessa and graduated from Permian High School in 1977. Judy married the love of her life, Lee Lightfoot on January 16, 1985.
Judy was a dedicated housewife and made it her life’s work to take care of her husband. Year after year she was always quick to tell everyone how much she loved and adored her husband. The happiest days of her life were spending time with her husband and their little dachshund companion, Sally Ann.
Judy was a huge fan of Elvis Presley. She collected memorabilia year after year and was always thrilled to show off her little museum she created. Judy was also a Melissa Etheridge fan and attended many concerts. Judy was a very gifted and talented person. She made many ceramic dolls, other ceramic pieces and she made quilts and she created many other special gifts for people she loved. Judy also loved to travel with her husband. She always lit up the room with her dynamic and effervescent personality. She was a very quick witted and funny person. The most endearing quality Judy possessed was her deep compassion for people. She was an extremely sensitive and tender hearted woman.
Those left to cherish Judy’s memory is her adoring husband, Lee Lightfoot of the home; parents: Tommy and Kay Harris and her mother-in law: Kathy Lightfoot Roberts. Brother: Wayne Harris and wife Tonya; sister: Janet Elrod and sister-in law Susie Lightfoot Clark and husband Sid Clark. Nephews: Trey Harris, Tye Harris, and Dewayne Elrod, James Franklin and his wife Nicole, Richard Franklin and Justin Johnson. Nieces: Jana Elrod Hogg and her husband Cecil, Tiffany Taylor, and Jennifer Franklin Lord and her husband Rob. Great nephews: Tyler King, Cayden Elrod, Devin Hogg, Daniel Franklin and Judah Lord. Great nieces: Shayla Elrod Hogg, Abigail Taylor and Emerson, Hattie and Elzie-Claire Lord. Judy also leaves behind her ever faithful companion, Sally Ann. Sally brought Judy tremendous joy and peace every day.
Judy was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father-in-law Richard Lightfoot, whom she adored.
Visitation is scheduled on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
