Lenora Frizzell

Lenora Morris (Perkins) Frizzell of Lubbock passed away August 22, 2023. She was born on December 28, 1936 in Monahan’s, Texas. She graduated from Monahans High School in 1955 where she was very active in sports and voted “Most Athletic Girl” her senior year, along with being a member of the Monahans High School Honor Society.

Lenora was raised in a Christian home and was full of love and laughter. She loved working outside in her yard, gardens, and flower beds. Throughout her life she worked in various careers with ECISD, but her proudest career was working and retiring from the Odessa Police Department.

She is survived by her son Samuel Coleman (Cole) Perkins, Jr. and his wife Paulette of Odessa, TX; her daughter Patsy Raye Brenner and her husband Mike of Lubbock, TX, and 3 step children. She is also survived by her brother James Morris and his wife Gracie of Chickasha, OK; 5 grandkids Dayna Florence and her husband Eric of Guthrie, OK; Casey Perkins and his wife Sarah of Carlsbad, TX; Neal Brenner of Lubbock, TX; Tracy Westbrook and her husband Chas of Tahoka, TX; and John Cody Brenner and his wife Jayce of Lubbock, TX. Along with 6 step grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 8 step great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her loving parents, Burt and Verdia Morris; her brother, William Carl Morris; her sister Margie Lou Uechi; her twin sister Lynette Morris Burleson; a step daughter; her first husband Samuel Coleman Perkins; and her husband Daniel Ray Frizzell.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to The Police Athletic League of the Odessa Police Department; Interim Hospice of Lubbock, TX; and the Building fund at First Baptist Church of Odessa.

A public visitation for Lenora will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors, 4635 Oakwood Dr, Odessa, Texas 79761. A burial will occur Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Monahans Memorial Cemetery, 400 South Helen Ave., Monahans, TX 79756. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 12:00 PM at 1st Baptist Church, 315 W 8th, Odessa, Texas.
