Luberta Cravens-Golden (95) of Odessa passed away peacefully at her home on Monday December 28, 2020. Luberta was born on September 12, 1925 to John & Penny Cravens in Anson, Tx. Luberta attended Fred Douglas of Anson, Center Point, Lancaster and Abilene High. Luberta met the love of her life at an early age, Mckinley Golden. Mckinley & Luberta were married March 12, 1949 in Ector County. They were married for 62 years.
Mckinley & Luberta had four (4) beautiful children. Donald Ray, Mckinley Jr, Brenda Joyce, Charles Edward. Luberta worked for the Barrow Ranch faithfully for 63 years before retiring. But she never retired as being a grandmother to them as well. Luberta also worked faithfully for her church, Cater’s Chapel CME since 1949. Just helping organizing everything with mission and most of all in the kitchen. Luberta loved children, she helped raise her grandchildren and other children as well Anthony Miller, Zenda Miller and also the Barrow’s Kids too. Taking care of children was her moto-
Luberta was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years McKinley Golden Sr, Her parents John & Penny Cravens, Her two (2) sons Mckinley Golden Jr, Charles Edward, two (2) brother, John T Cravens, Sammy K Cravens.
Luberta is survived by her children- Donald Ray (Wanda), Seattle WA, Brenda Joyce and companion (Glenn), her only sister Beulah Jackson, Grandchildren- Shenitrice Lynette, Lester Termelle (Brandy), Trenna Fay (Michael), Gary Washington, Richlynn Monique (Michael), Carla Denene, Kimberley Latrice, and Jessica, as well 23 great grandchildren, numerous great-great Grandchildren. A host of Nieces, Nephews, and extended family such as Pat Barrow and the Barrow Ranch.
