Lucia C Jimenez

Lucia was a strong, kind, and inspiring woman who touched everyone around her. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. One of her proudest achievements was becoming a licensed cosmetologist and owning a hair salon in Odessa, where she built both a successful business and meaningful connections within her community. Above all else, she cherished spending time with her family.

In January of 1969, she married the love of her life, Eriberto Granado Jimenez, and together they built a life centered on love, family, and devotion. She especially enjoyed spending time every day with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were a constant source of joy in her life. She will always be remembered for her caring and loving personality and the deep bonds she shared with her family—most closely with her husband, her sisters, her son and daughters, and all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Eriberto Granado Jimenez of Odessa, Texas; her son, Paulino Jimenez of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; and her daughters, Lora Jimenez, and Loraine Galvan and husband Edward Galvan Sr. of Odessa, Texas.

She leaves behind six grandchildren: Viviana V. Gilbert, Angelina J. Monge, Vajray J. Crenshaw, Edward Galvan Jr., Ethan Galvan, and Evan Galvan.

She is also survived by her six great-grandchildren: Aiden Vasquez, Valentin Vasquez, Nathaniel Vasquez, Lena Grace Gilbert, Theo Gilbert, and Gaston R. Monge.

She is survived by her sisters, Carmen Conners, Flora Carrasco, and Elida Lujan of Odessa, Texas; and her brothers, Lino M. Carrasco of Midland, Texas, and Samuel Carrasco of Odessa, Texas.

Lucia was preceded in death by her parents, Valentin A. Carrasco and Refugia M. Carrasco; her brothers, Santiago M. Carrasco, Luis M. Carrasco, and Valentin Carrasco Jr.; and her sister, Emma C. de la Cruz.

Although she is gone, she will continue to be remembered in our hearts and in the stories and memories shared by all who loved her.
