Manuel was born on February 19, 1954 in Alpine, Texas to Manuel Luna, Sr. and Guadalupe Porras. He grew up in a full household, with nine siblings.
Manuel was very proud of his looks with a love of Stacey Adams shoes, his clothing was always starched and pressed. Manuel had a sweet tooth, and would often make sure to eat dessert first! He will be remembered for his love of traveling, the Dallas Cowboys and Bar-B-Queing with his brothers. He, also, loved to spend time watching his nephews practice and play baseball.
He is preceded in death by his parent, siblings, Ricky Luna, Criselda Chavez, Jose Loya; and nephew, Arthur Espinoza
Manuel is survived by his children Manuel George Sanchez, Lorena LaShawn Luna, Sarai A. Luna; siblings, Linda Morales, Mary Espinoza, Esmeralda Arzate, Lionel Loya, Socorro Alvarado, Israel Porras; Grandchildren, Amara, Ayerim, Ariel, Autulynn, Jayden; his favorite neice Prissy, and many other family and friends.
A visitation for Manuel will be held Monday, October 9, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home, 601 N Alleghaney Ave, Odessa, Texas 79761. A rosary will occur Monday, October 9, 2023 at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church, 1321 W Monahans St, Odessa, TX 79763.
Manuel will be laid to rest in American Heritage Cemetery, 4100 FM 1788, Midland, Texas 79707.
Serving as pallbearers are Anthony Alvarado, Manuel Sanchez, Jose Chavez, Gerardo Arzate, Gabriel Espinoza, Joel Loya, Jayden Anaya, Israel Porras and Octavio Alvarado.
