MARIO HERNANDEZ
On January 28, 2014 Mario Hernandez, 56, of Odessa entered into God's Kingdom. Born on Sept. 6th, 1957 to Mariano Cervantez Hernandez and Adalia Santos Hernandez. After graduating from Fruitport High School in Fruitport, MI he returned to Odessa in 1976. He was employed as a supervisor for Tucker Valve Seat Co. for 31 years. He entered into the Holy Sacrament of marriage with Frances Cortez on November 27, 1982. Through this union, Mario and Frances were blessed with two "little ones", Michelle and Myra. From family vacations, to sporting events, his world revolved around his two daughters, they were his pride and joy! Mario was an avid sports fan, he proudly obtained a black belt in karate. He loved watching the Odessa High Bronchos and San Antonio Spurs. Countless evenings were spent at Alamo basketball courts playing his favorite sport. It was on the court where Mario met countless young men who still consider him a role model and father figure. He also enjoyed the time spent on the racquetball court with his friends. Mario loved people without limits, boundaries or conditions. Every encounter with him was memorable, personal and amazing.
