Mary Georgene Brownlee Miller

Genie was born in Gorman, Texas to Clyde and Gladys Brownlee. Genie was the oldest of the Brownlee children, which included her brother Les and sister Kay. She attended schools in Pampa, Colorado City and Odessa, Texas and graduated from Odessa High School in 1955. She was a member of the National Honor Society, and attended classes at Odessa College. She married Joel Fink, Sr, and they had two children, Joel Jr. and Glen. She later married Robert Miller in 1970. She worked in the Ector County District Clerk’s office for 29 years, serving as Chief Deputy.

Genie was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church and was very active in Bible studies, Sunday School class, and also sang in the church choir.

Genie loved her family and friends and was generous with her time and money and especially her big, beautiful smile. She loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved taking her great grandson Barrett for rides on her walker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert V. Miller, her son Glen Fink and parents Clyde and Gladys Brownlee.

Genie will be forever remembered and missed by her family. Her son Joel Fink and daughter-in-law Laura; grandson Ryan Fink and his wife Katie and great grandson Barrett and great granddaughter Collins; granddaughter Kelsey Byler and her husband Hunter, and great granddaughter Madelyn; granddaughter Reagan Fink; brother Les Brownlee of Arlington, VA; niece Tracy Brownlee Carney and her husband Clay, great niece Kyla of Falls Church, VA; nephew John Brownlee and his wife Lee Ann, great nieces Thompson and Cate of Great Falls, VA; sister Kay Peek and her husband Buster of San Angelo, TX, niece Sloane Springer of San Angelo, TX, great niece Vana Stevens and her husband Adam of Stillwater, OK, great niece Vail Springer of San Angelo, TX, great nephew Vance Springer of Pottsboro, TX, niece Sarah Entzminger and her husband Jason, great niece Riley Kay of San Angelo, TX.
