Melvin B. Paschal

Melvin was born on February 21, 1930, in Koenig, MO, a son to the late Rudolph A. and Clara G. (Maasen) Paschal.

Melvin was a 1948 graduate of Linn High School. He then went on to attend two years at Lincoln College in Jefferson City, MO. On May 3, 1952, he married Esther Voss at St. George Catholic Church in Linn, MO. They were married for 62 years.

He was employed by Huntsman Corp for 40 years and retired at age 70. He was currently working part-time for Advance Auto Parts. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, and an active member of the Moose Lodge. In 1982, he won first place in double competition at the Texas State Bowling tournament.

His hobbies included playing in pool tournaments with the Moose Lodge, going to Permian High School football games, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, and spoiling his dog, Babygirl.

He is survived by his wife Esther Pascal; his two daughters Sandra Paschal and Susie Dodgen, all of Odessa; three grandchildren Jason Paschal and wife, Marianne, and their children Vanessa, Amber, Katlyn, Dylan, and Makayla; James Paschal and wife, Katrina, and their son Xavier; and Gabriel Ruiz and wife, Jennifer, and their sons Jacob and Marcus; and one great-great-grandson Jaxton.

Family visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, October 5, 2014, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 6, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father Mark Woodruff officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
