Michael Lee Riddle

Mike was born to Cecil and Melva Riddle on April 8th, 1949, in Levelland, TX. He attended Hood Jr. High, Permian High School, and Odessa College. He worked for various oilfield companies as a Wireline Electronics Technician, for several years.

He met his wife, Theresa Taylor, in May of 1968 and they were married three months later. Mike enjoyed watching and coaching his sons in different sports and activities. Mike also enjoyed fishing, drawing and cowboy/western movies. The joy of his life was watching Mitch and MacAlister play baseball in little league, travel ball and high school. His other favorite thing was to watch and talk about movies with Mason.

Mike was a loving and devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and known to his Grandsons as Yoyo and Yo.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Theresa Riddle. His sons, Mark Riddle of Odessa, TX, and SPC. Matthew Riddle of Midland, TX. His grandsons Mitch Riddle, Mason Riddle and MacAlister Riddle, all of Midland, TX, and his “special” grandson, Josh Ontiveroz of California. He is also survived by his sister Paula (Jim) Westbrook of Lubbock, TX, and brother Melvin (Cindy) Riddle of Midland, TX, and numerous nieces & nephews and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, sister Karen Riddle Rice, brothers Carl Ray Riddle and Cecil Riddle Jr., and nephew Kris Riddle. He was also preceded in death by his in-laws, Jim and Reta Taylor, brother-in-law Tommy Taylor, nephews Kenny and Chris Taylor, and his beloved cat, Mareta.

A big “Thank You” to his nurses, support staff and his aide, Corina from Angel Care, for the excellent care they gave him. You ladies are truly “Angels”.

He will be deeply missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the GoFundMe set up for Mike.

John 16:22 – “So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.”

A visitation for Michael will be held Friday, June 13, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors, 4635 Oakwood Drive, Odessa, TX 79761.
