On February 25, 2012, Pauline Kloss went home to be with the Lord and her husband Gene of 64 years. She was known by many names such as Tootsie, Mumsy, but her favorite was G.G. as her great-grandchildren called her.
She started out in life on a farm in Wisconsin born to Oscar and Sophie Remus Wegner. Though tragedy struck at a young age by her losing her mother at the age of ten she soon showed what the world would come to know as the feisty friendly fighter that she was. To her no one was a stranger and anyone who came to her home soon became family over a cup of coffee. When asked how she was her only answer was always “Perfect.” Her interest over her life included gardening, sewing and of course Bingo. She shared her love of the game with her Bingo Buddies, Joyce, Pat, Donna and Janna, who will always be remembered for the fun and the laughter they brought into her life. During her life she and her husband served together with the “Dynamic” Grandview Lions Club, joining in all the fund raising and special projects over 25 years of service.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her oldest daughter Kathy Ludwikowski.
Surviving her are her son, Dean Kloss and wife Kay of San Antonio, daughter, Marlene Byrd and husband Michael of Odessa, grandchildren, Paul Ludwikowski and Tina of Milwaukee, WI, Peter Ludwikowski and Corrine of Milwaukee, Lisa Watkins and Trey of Odessa, Matthew Smith of Odessa, Adrian Smith of Odessa and Craig Ludwikowski of Milwaukee, great-grandchildren, Noah and Steven Watkins of Odessa, Austin and Alyssa Ludwikowski of Milwaukee.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with Pastors Craig and Cliff DeArmond officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pauline’s family wishes to thank so many for all their love and kindness during this time. We especially want to thank Latter Rain Worship Center, Pastors Craig and Cliff, Compass Hospice and all the wonderful team members that were part of her care and Hubbard-Kelly for their understanding in this time of need.
In lieu of flowers please make a generous donation to your favorite charity in Pauline’s name.
Pauline’s favorite thing was butterflies and she always felt that this life was just the caterpillar stage for the next so today in Heaven is a gorgeous newly winged butterfly.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
