Pauline Elizabeth Stevens Wesson

Pauline Elizabeth (Stevens) Wesson was born on October 30, 1917 in Kilgore, Texas and went to be with the Lord December 24, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Pauline was born to Katherine Lamanda and Joseph Clayton Stevens. Her husband Eugene Davis Wesson (E.D.) preceded her in death in 1981; she later married Jimmie R. DeWoody. Also preceding her in death are her daughter Judy Anderson, her sisters Effie Stevens and Evelyn Johnston, and her brother Ed Stevens. Pauline is survived by one brother J. C. Stevens of Burnet, Texas and three of her four children, Ed Wesson of Odessa, Wanda Reynolds of Oklahoma City, and Louise Head of Angleton, Texas. Pauline is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Robin, Tommy, Courtney, Greg, Stephen, Jodi, Dawn and Shawn, 17 great grandchildren and 9 great, great grandchildren. Pauline loved her family and enjoyed yearly family reunions always bringing the family favorites. She also enjoyed being outside working in the flower gardens. The Wesson family joined Sherwood Baptist Church in 1955 where Pauline remained active in her Sunday School class until she moved into assisted living. Prior to retirement she worked at Dunlaps Department Store in Odessa as the accessories manager/buyer. A celebration of her life will be in the parlor on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at 2:00 pm. For those interested, donations may be made to Sherwood Baptist Church, 505 E. 42nd Street, Odessa, TX 79762, in lieu of flowers. Arrangements are under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
