Pedro Lira Garza

In Our Heavenly Kingdom and in the Loving Arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is to be found Our Beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle & Dear Friend Pedro Lira Garza. Mr Garza 89, of Brighton, Colorado formally of Odessa passed away at his residence Sunday June 9, 2013. He was born September 25,1923 in Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico to Alberto Garza and Anita Lira. He united in marriage to Paula Salazar August 8, 1946 in Ozona, Texas, and to this unification were born three children. He was a Christian Catholic and worked as a Foreman for a Pipeline Construction Co. He is preceded in death by his beloved Wife; Paula Salazar, Parents; Albert and Anita L. Garza, Sons; Ines Flores, Ramiro Garza, Brother; Manuel Garza, Sisters; Alicia Galvan, Beatriz Garza and Dorotea Trevino, Mr. Garza is survived by his loving Sons; Pedro S. Garza Jr.(Dora ) of Odessa, Texas, Alberto Garza( Eva ) of Odessa, Texas, Daughter; Margarita Reyes of Odessa, Texas, Brother; Estanislado Garza of Muzquiz, Coah. Mexico, Sisters; Enedina Valdez of Dallas, Texas, Berta DeLa Garza of Nueva Rosita, Coah. Mexico, Rosa Ortiz of Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Maria Estrada and Juanita DeLa Garza both of Muzquiz,Coah. Mexico. 12 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. A very special nephew & niece, Rafael Garza Galvan of Del Rio, Texas & Elena Morales of Odessa, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Pedro Valdez, Jose Luis De La Garza, Alejandro Estrada, Raphael Galvan, Robert Villarreal, Manuel Gonzales, Hermin Robles, & Joey Losoya.. A Visitation was held Thursday June 13, 2013 from 12 pm to 9pm with a Rosary recited at 7pm at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10am today Friday June 14,2013 at Our Lady of San Juan Catholic Church (905 Edgeport St.)with Reverend Richard Lopez officiating. Interment to follow at Ector County Cemetery Peaceful Garden Section.
