Ramon Terrazas Jr.

Ramon “Bubba,” was born on April 18, 1979, to Ramon and Elida “Lydia” Vega Terrazas in Odessa, Texas. Bubba was his mother’s pride and joy, and he loved her deeply. He had a happy childhood filled with love and good memories, growing up with his sister Irma, whom he loved dearly.

From a young age, Bubba learned the skill of welding from his father, a trade he would later turn into his own business, RTJ Welding. In his early childhood, he played football and baseball, and he was active in 4-H during the summers. He attended Odessa High School and also loved working on cars.

Ramon was a hard worker who also enjoyed life. He loved going to the lake, camping, and fishing. He found joy in barbecuing, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends in his backyard. His creativity showed in the crosses and trinkets he welded and gave to those he loved.

He will be remembered for his beautiful smile and caring heart. He was a cherished son, brother, father, uncle, and friend. His love for music and people was a big part of who he was, and his presence brought light to those around him.

We find comfort in the promise of Revelation 21:41

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Though we mourn his loss, we trust that Bubba is now in the peace and presence of the Lord, where there are no more tears, only eternal joy.

A Celebration of Life service for Ramon " Bubba" Terrazas will take place on July 3, 2025 at 11am at Odessa Funeral Home located at 1700 N. Jackson Ave in Odessa Tx.

Ramon is survived by his father Ramon Terrazas Sr.; children, Christopher King, and Hayley King; sister, Irma Terrazas; nephew, Ryan Parker; niece, Victoria Parker-Anaya (Matthew Anaya), along with many other extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly welcomes donations to help with funeral expenses. Contributions may be made directly to Odessa Funeral Home, either in person or by phone.
