

Robyn lived a full and dynamic life, dedicating herself to many professions over the years. She worked as a teacher, over-the-road truck driver, 911 dispatcher, author, and business owner. Her strong work ethic and adventurous spirit touched many lives and reflected her determination to experience life fully.
On October 14, 2022, Robyn married the love of her life, Mark Andrew Malone, in Odessa, Texas, where their journey together began after first meeting in the same city. Their bond was one of love, companionship, and unwavering support.
Robyn found joy in life’s simple and creative pleasures. She loved painting, diamond art, sewing, reading, and writing. She also enjoyed engaging in conversations about politics and exploring conspiracy theories. Her vibrant personality and curious mind made her unforgettable to those who knew her.
She was a devoted pet lover and cherished her beloved companions: Aphrodite, Bear, Buddy, and Pooh Bear.
Robyn was a woman of faith and fellowship, attending Spirit and Truth of Odessa, Texas; McCool Junction Community Church in McCool Junction, Nebraska; and Yahweh Rapha Deaf Church in Houston, Texas.
She is survived by her loving husband, Mark Andrew Malone; her children, Brian Dodson of Texas, Blake Dodson of Ohio, Beau Dodson and spouse Daneen of Texas, Anthony Malone and spouse Sarah of Alaska, Justin Maynard and spouse Anna of Texas, Kalissa Keller of Texas, Flor Yanez and spouse Rey Ramos of Texas, and Katrina Britt Riley. She is also survived by her father, Melvin Steggs of Nebraska.
Robyn is further survived by her siblings: Scott Steggs and spouse Stacy of Texas, Mike Steggs and spouse Sheery of Texas, Steve Butler and spouse Barbara of Nebraska, Robert Butler, and Sherry Breece of Nebraska. She also leaves behind 27 cherished grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by her dear friends Gordon and Tammy Smith, Sharon Penry, Brice and Nicole Sellers, Ashley McGee, and Roger Barnhardt, along with many extended family members and loved ones.
Robyn was preceded in death by her mothers, Deloris Anne (Loomis) Steggs and Lois Marie (Meinke) Steggs, as well as C.L. Grumbles.
A celebration of Robyn’s life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
