Ruby Leigh Henderson West

Ruby Leigh West, 100 years old, of Odessa passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Parks Methodist Retirement Village. She was born September 5, 1912 in Roscoe, TX to John Henry & Ora Lee (Harris) Henderson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, James Curtis Murphy in 1957, 2nd husband Clarence West in 1995, (3) sons, Jackie Murphy, Ralph & Raymond West, (2) daughters, Yoma Fowler & Dora Henson, (3) brothers, Bailey, Tom & John Henderson, (2) sisters, Beulah Hunter & Jewel Hestand.

She is survived by her (3) sons: James Curtis Murphy Jr., John Wayne Murphy & wife Karen of Odessa, Robert West & wife Darlene of Abilene, daughter, Evelyn Singleterry of Andrews, brother, Jim Henderson & wife Erline of Plainview, sisters, Ida Shannon of Foley, Alabama, Fanny Altenbaumer of Texas City, (27) grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren & numerous great-great-grandchildren & numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

There will be a visitation from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2012 at Mount Olive Memorial Park in Big Spring with Rev. Jay Henderson officiating.
