Rufus William Gildon Jr.

He was born in Vernon, Texas to Rufus William Gildon Sr. and Imogene Thorpe on October 17, 1956. He married Lorene Black on June 12, 1982. Rufus worked in maintenance for apartment complexes.

Rufus is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Gerald "BB" Sauls, Levalgia "Bogie" Gildon. He is survived by his wife Lorene Black Gildon, three daughters, Chane Y. Gildon, Sharonda and husband Stephon Miller, Nakesha M. and husband Coffie Powell, all of Odessa, Texas, one son Ryan J. Gildon. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren Tisland, Trenity, Xavion, Serenity, Coffie Jr., Xyonna and Xadrian.

Rufus will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday July 5, 2018 from 9am until 9pm at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel 1700 N. Jackson Ave. Odessa, Texas.

Funeral Service will be Friday July 6, 2018 at 11am at the Odessa Funeral home Chapel with Reverend Samuel L. Buhl officiating.
