Shirley Ann Roberts Notley

Shirley Ann Roberts Notley, age 66, of Odessa, passed away Friday, February 19, 2010, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born January 29, 1944, to Felix and Elsie Roberts in DeKalb, TX.

Shirley married Tom Notley on August 20, 1960. She and Tom have three children, ten grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Shirley had her own beauty shop for 47 years. She never met a stranger, had an infectious laugh, and a very generous heart. Shirley was a talented artist and her greatest joy was her family. Shirley will be so deeply missed by everyone that knew her and most especially by her loved ones.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Tom Notley of Odessa; her daughter, Leta Verfurth and husband, Mike of San Angelo; son, Tom Notley, Jr and wife, Janie of Tulia; and daughter, Lori Hadden and husband, Tommy of Kingwood; her grandchildren, Joey Porter and Emily Porter of Lubbock; Lauren Verfurth of Thrall; Meagan Notley and Hallie Notley of Keller; Allie, Trent, Hadley, Cash Hadden and soon to be born, baby Hadden, all of Kingwood; and two great-grandchildren, Peyton and Preston of Keller. She is also survived by her sister, Thelma Peacock of Clarksville, TX, and brother, Bobby Roberts of Newport, OR; her mother-in-law, Lorene Notley of Odessa; brother-in-law, Richard Notley and wife, Sharon of Odessa; and sister-in-law, Denise Olliff of Odessa. She was “Aunt Shirley” to many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law, Bob Notley, her brothers, Billy Joe Roberts, Pete Roberts and Robert Roberts; her sister, Miley Clark, her brothers-in-law, Bob Notley, Jr and Charles Notley.

There will be a family visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2010, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2010, at St. Andrew Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
