Anna moved to Oklahoma City and worked at Ford Motor Co. where she met her future husband Doug Kennedy. They married when she was 24 and spent the next 10 years working and enjoying life.
After 10 years of marriage they finally had the child they had been praying for, a beautiful daughter they named Valerie Ann. Two years later they were blessed once more this time with a bouncing baby boy they named Douglas Jr. To avoid confusion they nick named him Bud.

Anna was a lover of the outdoors and found many activities that she enjoyed. Gardening and fishing were her favorites. She enjoyed many family outings at Lake Eufaula where she shared her love and knowledge of fishing with her kids and grandkids. She very much enjoyed being in a weekly bowling league with her daughter Valerie, where together they made many friends.
Once Anna’s children were teenagers she went back to work. She was a realtor and later became the Assistant State Auditor. After she and Doug retired they enjoyed the outdoors together on the golf course.
When Anna’s devoted husband, Doug, died in 1993, she and her daughter Valerie volunteered their time delivering meals with the Mobile Meals organization.
Anna passed to Heaven peacefully in her own home on January 3, 2014 with her son Bud, her daughter-in-law Kelly and her grandson Chad by her side.
