Argie Lee Duncan

Argie Lee Duncan, nee Sullivan, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014. Argie was born July 7, 1927 in Amite, Louisiana, and was the only surviving child of Thomas McKinley Sullivan and Frances David. She graduated from Plaquemine High School, Plaquemine, Louisiana in 1947 and married William David Duncan in 1949. She moved to Oklahoma City from Houston, Texas with her family in 1966. She is preceded in death by her husband, William David Duncan and her daughter-in-law Wendy Doescher Duncan. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Frances Drinkwater of Oklahoma City, son, James David Duncan of Oklahoma City, son, Thomas Lee Duncan of Vista, California, daughter Alice Marie Gallagher and son-in-law Michael Gallagher of Kansas City, Missouri. Six grandchildren, Jennifer Anderson, Duncan Drinkwater, Kathryn Gritzmaker, Kimberly Duncan, Belinda Glenz, and Jeffrey Duncan. Six great-grandchildren, Kaylyn and Kody Drinkwater, Willow Gritzmaker, Grayson and Gavin Anderson, William and Dean Duncan. One sister-in-law Dorothy Romero, niece Dottie Anklam and nephew Holt Romero all of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She loved working in her yard, tending flowers and waqtching them bloom. She took great pleasure in feeding and watching the birds in her garden every day. She was a loving mother and a dear friend that will be missed.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Guardian Funeral Homes West Chapel, 5820 NW 41st Street, Warr Acres, Oklahoma 73122.
