Barbara graduated HS in 1976 and went on to college and graduated with an associate’s degree in nursing. She believed nursing was her true calling from God, she was always willing to uphold her oath as a nurse. The only thing above being a nurse was her love of God and her Family.
Barbara’s ministry was music, she sang in choir and at church her entire life. She loved Jesus with a passion, her first answer to anything was to pray. Barbara spent he life serving others at home, work, and church. In every situation it was always what would God want me to do.
When the girls were younger Barbara quickly became the mom to all of their friends, every Saturday night there were several girls who stayed at their home to go to church the following Sunday morning.
Barbara was an extremely proud grandma. She loved nothing more than being surrounded by her grandchildren. She would never tell them no, especially when their parents had already told them no. She really loved to irritate her children by being on her grandchildren’s side. Barbara loved being a grandma so much she adopted pretty much every kid she met.
Over the past few years Barbara’s health declined and made it very difficult for her to do things on her own. Rick stepped up and became her primary caregiver and usually had a smile on his face while doing so. He never gave up, he was at her side for the past 43 years no matter what. The love between them was unmatched, their love for each other broke through every trial. If asked they would tell you the reason was because they put God before their marriage.
Barbara passed with Rick by her side, as he always was. To say Barbara will be missed is an understatement.
