Betty graduated from Southern Methodist University and then received a medical doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas Medical Science. She worked for the Pathology Institute at Oklahoma University Medical School as a Medical Pathologist/Professor. Her biggest occupational accomplishment was being the first woman to graduate from her Pathology Residence at John Hopkins University from 1960-1964. Betty married Jack Daviee on June 10, 1974 and remained married until his passing in 1993.
Betty was a member of the Oklahoma division of United Daughters of the Confederacy and she had a passion for Genealogy.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Mitchel Daviee, sisters; Loyce McClellan Skelion, and Lorene Virginia McClellan Blair. She leaves behind her niece, Betty Joyce Skelion Dezaiffe, and her nephews Ralph David Skelion, and Timothy Blair, DDS.
