Betty Louise Gallagher

Betty Louise (Hargis) Gallagher entered into eternity on October 7, 2021. She was born June 11, 1940 in Roff, Oklahoma to Reverend Lee Hargis and Reverend Lucy (Dunn) Hargis. After graduating high school she would go on to become a bookkeeper. Betty would marry David Gallagher, the pair growing their family with the addition of daughters Rhonda and Jenifer, and son Mike.

She was a woman of simple, yet important pleasures - her favorite activities included coloring, puzzles, reading, and cross-stitch. Her cornbread dressing was the delight of many a holiday dinner. Betty was the type who kept Christmas in her heart always, visiting her you were likely to find a Christmas movie playing on the TV at all times of the year. And when it wasn’t showing one of her favorite holiday classics, the TV was tuned to a Dallas Cowboys football game.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents Reverend Lee Hargis and Reverend Lucy Hargis, as well as her husband David Gallagher.

She is survived by her children Rhonda Milton of Oklahoma City, OK; Jenifer Brown, husband Darnell Latham, of Oklahoma City, OK; and Mike Witt, husband Jim Messineo, of Boston, MA; her brother Ira Hargis of Chicago, IL; sister Mary Rogers of Oklahoma City, OK; as well as five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services in honor of Betty will take place at a later time.
