She attended Billings schools and Northern Oklahoma Junior College. She spent most of her career working in accounting jobs and after retiring becoming a tax preparer.
She was a long-time member of Putnam City Christian Church, a fifty-year member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (Council Grove Chapter), Oklahoma Council of Garden Clubs, Oklahoma and Sooner Iris Society.
She loved working in her iris and day lily gardens and making quilts for her family.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Kirby Rose Lastinger.
Betty is survived by her daughter Stacia (Bill) Kenyon, son Terry (Shirley) Lastinger, grandchildren William (Trey) Kenyon III, Kayci Stoner, J. Chance Lastinger (Ashley), and Rachel Lastinger, great grandchildren Tanner Kenyon, Saylor Stoner, Sam Stoner, Amira Lastinger, and Lucas Lastinger.
A service will be held for Betty L. McMartin on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens at 8701 NW Expressway, Oklahoma
