

Betty Jo Wood was born in Oklahoma City on August 4, 1928 to Hazel and Euford Cannon. She graduated from El Reno High School then went to Oklahoma City University. Shortly after starting college she was set up on a blind date with her future husband Henry Seth Wood. They were married by her grandfather Cannon on December 23rd, 1949 and enjoyed 54 years together before his passing in April of 2004.
Betty Jo was a joy to be around. Her laugh was infectious and she loved her husband and family dearly. She greatly enjoyed spending time with them at their condo at Shangri La on Grand Lake. She also loved dancing, golfing, bowling, 40’s music and watching Wheel of Fortune which was a nightly tradition for her and her husband.
Betty Jo is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Seth Wood, her brother Gene Cannon, her sister Mary Lou Cannon, her son Henry Seth Wood Jr. and her daughter Vickie Guffey. She is survived by her son-in-law John Guffey; grandchildren, Seth Wood and his wife Annette, Chris Wood, Candice Wood, Sheila, Shawn, Brian, and Craig Guffey; and great grandchildren Emery and Henley Wood.

Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel with interment to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
