Billy was born June 9, 1932 in Schulter, Oklahoma to Proctor Howard and Katherine (Mortimer) Noble. During his high school years, basketball became one of his greatest passions and he was an All-State Basketball Player. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and was very proud of his service to his country, retiring after 26 years. He played basketball for the Air Force as well and played all over the world. When Billy was stationed at Tinker Air Force Base, he met the beautiful girl that would soon become his wife, Martha Moore. During a break in a basketball tournament in San Antonio, they were married and began their life together.
One of Billy’s other passions was fishing. He made his own lures and was known to give one to everyone he met. Because he traveled so much in the military, once he was able to grow roots, he was content with his wife, his family, and his fishing pole.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Martha Noble; children, Sherri Marie Schoelen, Lynda Christine McSpadden, Robert Raymond Noble, and Billy John Noble; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4pm-6pm Thursday, July 4th at Guardian West Funeral Home.
Services will be 10am Friday at Guardian West Funeral Home with interment at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
