On May 8th, 1942 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Cora Abraham and Gene Johnson gave birth to their fifth child, Bobbyie Joe Johnson. He attended Booker T. Washington High School and then joined the United States Armed Forces. After leaving the Army at the age of twenty-five, he met the beautiful Queen Williamson and they immediately married one month later. To that union he gained a daughter Mechelle and together they conceived four children - Sabrina, Bobbette, Geane and Toby. Bobbyie was a very hard worker and an excellent provider for his family, making sure they had everything they needed and wanted. He was a skilled painter putting his mark on the aircraft and auto industry for over thirty years. He retired from Air Center/Wiley Post in 2007. Bobbyie was very passionate about his work and executed it with great detail. Bobbyie loved to barbecue, go fishing, and watch the Dallas Cowboys. Bobbyie would stand toe to toe with anyone about the Dallas Cowboys and always WIN, because for him, no matter what the outcome the Dallas Cowboys were always the better team. Bobbyie knew every detail about the Dallas Cowboys and loved the debate. He loved teaching everyone how to fish, and was always excited about firing up the grill. It was a joy for him to share his passions with everyone in the neighborhood. On August 26th, 2105 at eleven o’clock am surrounded by his wife and children the Lord called Bobbyie Joe Johnson home. He is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings: Cora Abraham, Gene Johnson, Johnnie Mae, Eddie Lee Rowe, Ann Dial, and J.W Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memory this beloved wife Queen Johnson, five wonderful children, Mechelle (Atlanta, GA) Sabrina (Yukon, OK), Geane, Bobbette and Toby (Oklahoma City, OK) and Sister Ella Jean Bell (Tulsa, Ok) fourteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews along with family and friends who loved him. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church with burial to follow at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Ok.
