Bonnie Mae McDonald

Bonnie Mae McDonald, 83, passed away on March 23, 2017. Bonnie was born on September 27, 1933 in Lawton, OK to George and May Tidwell (Lowery) Short. When Bonnie was young, she received an award for perfect attendance in school. She and her husband, John were also members of a bowling league. Bonnie loved cooking, watching tennis, and eating chocolate and candy. She was a selfless person who would make sure her family’s needs were met before hers. Bonnie was a giving person who never met a stranger. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents; son, Glen E. McDonald; granddaughter, Dara McDonald; and sister, Dorothy Jean Ortiz. Survivors include her loving husband of 68 years, John McDonald; children, Sheila Gray and husband Don, Raymond McDonald and wife Atoya; grandchildren, Glen McDonald Jr., Shonda McDonald, Micah McDonald, Kami Shearer and husband Jeremiah, Sydney Rogers, Stephanie Magby and Brian, Justin Gray and wife Kaileigh, Sherri McDonald, Erin McDonald, and Stephen McDonald and wife Addison; great-granddaughter, Tynslee McDonald; and numerous other family members who will miss her dearly. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens in OKC, OK.
