Buddy Dewayne Rice

Buddy Dewayne Rice, 52 year-old resident of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away April 12, 2016 at his residence. Born October 1, 1963 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, he was the son of Floyd Dewayne Rice and Beverly Ann Barnett Rice. Buddy was a former chef at the VZD Restaurant in Oklahoma City. He loved cooking; gardening and landscaping; and was a natural instinctive “Helper” if anyone was in need of help. Buddy was preceded in death by his father and 1 sister, Rhonda Rice. Survivors include his mother, Beverly Dinger of Spencer, Oklahoma; 5 siblings, Donald and his wife Cheryl Rice of Ada, Oklahoma; Floyd Rice of Choctaw, Oklahoma; Billy and his wife Kim Rice of Ada, Oklahoma; Charlotte and her husband Harold Blalock of Midwest City, Oklahoma; and Lisa Rice Kringlen and her husband Kermit Kringlen of Choctaw, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, Lindsey Rice; Hope Rice; William Rice; Joshua Rice; Kelsey Rice; Stephanie Drennan; Shane Drennan; Nathan Drennan; Kyle Kringlen; Kevin Kringlen; Morgan Patrick; and Hadley Blalock; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, OK 73141.
