Cathy devoted her life to caring for others and proudly served as a registered nurse.
As a child, Cathy moved with her family to Miami, Florida. In 1986, she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, and spent time living in Missouri, before finally making Oklahoma her home.
She loved listening to Oldies and Gospel music, and her perfect day was one spent surrounded by friends and family and attending church. Cathy will be remembered as someone who loved God deeply and showed that love to everyone she met.
Her greatest joy came from worshipping and spending quality time with her grandchildren. She was a devoted member of MyChurch in Mustang, where her faith and kindness touched many lives.
On September 26, 1973, Cathy married the love of her life, John H. Burge. They shared many wonderful years together before his passing on July 1, 2016.
Cathy is survived by her children: John Scott Burge of Fort Worth, Texas; Jason Lee Burge of Mustang, Oklahoma; Anna Maureen Burge of Mustang, Oklahoma and sister Susan Eakes of Tampa, Florida. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, one nephew, and her two beloved cats.
Cathy’s life reflected her faith, her compassion, and her love for family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
