Charlotte Gogo Ann Floyd

Charlotte Floyd at age 95 peacefully closed her beautiful blue eyes for the last time on Feb. 2,20L4 surrounded by her family. She was the cherished only child of Lee and lnez Utt, and was raised in her beloved Omaha, Nebraska with many lifelong friends. She attended Central High school in Omaha, and attended the University of Nebraska. When she met U. Paul Floyd, they were married and moved to Oklahoma City. He remained the love of her life for 56 years until his death in 1998.

Charlotte devoted her life to her family, her friends, and her Church. She could bake the best cakes, pies, candies and cookies in the world. Each person had their "favorite" and she would lovingly make it for them on their birthdays or other special occasion. She remained an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan until her SOONERS took over her heart. She never missed an OU sporting event on TV until she died. Her grandchildren nicknamed her their "Gogo grandma" because of her high energy. We all later just called her "Gogo."

She is survived by her sons and their families: Bob and Marca Floyd, Edmond, Ok.; Bill and Carol Floyd, Picayune, Mississippi. She adored her grandchildren and their families: Allison, Joshua, Cooper and Carson Buffalo; Ryan and Chrissi Floyd and Cole Brown; Jeffrey and Jesse Stiglett. She is also survived by her "special" son and daughter and their families, Debby, Jimmy, Tia, Frankie, Todd, and Nicolle Goodman, and Hannah and Luke. She was a member of Crown Heights Christian Church for over 65 years. She still remained lifelong friends with four of her 95 yr. old Omaha kindergarten buddies. One of these friends, her best friend, Betty Graham of Wichita, Ks. died 12 hours before Charlotte. They considered themselves heart sisters.

Her funeral "Celebration" will be at 11:00am, Thursday, February 6, 2014, at Crown Heights Christian Church, 4020 N. Western Ave., OKC. Please make contributions to Crown Heights or your charity of choice. Arrangements are being handled by Hahn-Cook/Street and Draper, 6600 Broadway Extension.
