Born in Norman, Oklahoma on November 5 to John and Helen (George) Kizer. He was a 1983 business graduate at OU. He lived in Norman off and on his whole life and even lived in both of his grandparents homes as an adult with his family. He even bought his parents’ home and that is where he lived his final 20 years. For the past 30+ years, he worked at H & R Block as a tax preparer.
He was a free thinker and encouraged his children and grandchildren to also think independently. His favorite things were complaining, eating sweet treats (he always had them at home, even though his doctor told him no more), the blues and he loved having pets, which always included a cat and dog but sometimes more. He loved talking about how life was different when he was a kid as to nowadays. His specialty was having a specific subject to argue with each of his family members, such as “rock on Rolling Stones” and “put that back where you got it”!
His wife, two children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive him.
Memorial services will be held at Del City Middle School (formerly Kerr Jr. High) at 2pm on Friday, February 17, 2023. He wanted a final family reunion with all of his loved ones.
