Danny Odell Holly

Danny Odell Holly, 65 year-old resident of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away May 19, 2014 at his home. Born October 12, 1948 in Midwest City, OK, he was the son of Otis Odell Holly and Margie (Turner) Holly. Danny was a longtime electrician. He was an avid OU Football fan; loved baseball; served his country in Vietnam as a Medic in the U. S. Army. Danny played baseball, basketball, and ran track in High School and graduated from Midwest City High School in 1966. Most of all Danny was a devoted son, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father and his wife, Jeanna (Tucker) Holly in 1999. Survivors include his mother, Margie Holly of Midwest City, OK; his son, Shane Holly of Texas; his daughter, Ashlye Goodner of Virginia; 2 grandchildren, Audrey and Robert Goodner of Virginia; 1 sister, Vicky Ray of Midwest City, OK; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 at Arlington Memory Gardens with Reverend Greg Ball officiating. Burial will follow Military Honors by the U. S. Army Honors Detail in Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma.
