

Dellora E. Manske passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022. She was born to Otto L. Fuchs, Sr. and Elsie (Hartstack) Fuchs on July 30, 1922 at home on a farm near Carmine, Fayette County, Texas. Dellora was the eldest of four children, brothers Otto L. Fuchs, Jr. and Howard Fuchs and sister, Shirley Mueller. Dellora was baptized November 19, 1922, confirmed April 5, 1936. She attended school in a one-room school built on a corner of paternal grandparents adjoining farm. Dellora traveled to middle and high school in neighboring towns. She graduated from junior college and taught first through fourth grade for four and a half years at Dime Box, TX.
Dellora married Staff Sgt. Edison R. Manske on a three-day pass from Camp Swift Texas (close to home) on February 11, 1945. Together they established their home in Houston, TX after WWII. Their son Stanley Ed was born there on June 3, 1947. The family relocated in Oklahoma City in 1953. Dellora was a loving mother, homemaker and volunteer until Stan went off to Texas Lutheran College. Dellora later in life worked at a children’s wear shop for twelve years. She enjoyed activities at church homes, St. Paul’s, Prince of Peace and Messiah Lutheran Churches. She was a volunteer with “community watch” and delivered meals on wheels for years. Dellora also spent time sewing and gardening. She was a proud Cub Scout Den mother and especially enjoyed the fun things together with grandchildren Caleb and Amanda during their summer week visits. Dellora considered herself blessed to have the joy of almost 64 years of marriage to Edison, a great Christian guy, who greeted her each day with “Good morning Liebschen.”
Dellora is survived by her brother, Otto L. Fuchs, Jr., her Son, Stanley Ed Manske, and his wife Mona Elaine Manske, her grandchildren Caleb James Manske and Amanda Dellora McDaniel and her husband, Nathan Hunter McDaniel, and her Great Granddaughters, Madison Hailey Manske, Abigale June McDaniel, and Eliot Ryan McDaniel.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 pm, Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Home in Oklahoma City. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, October 28, 2022 at Concordia Life Plan Community 7707 W. Britton Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73132.
