Derek Scott Flesner was born August 17, 1989 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Leslie Byron Flesner and Regan Michelle Merrell Flesner.

He played baseball and wrestled in high school before he graduated from Thunder Bird Academy in 2007. He worked as a roughneck in the oilfield and proudly called himself a tree surgeon.

Derek loved climbing trees, gardening with his family, playing the guitar, and playing with his kids. Derek's proudest achievement was when Dilynn was born making him a Daddy. He was the proudest Daddy in the world!

Derek is survived by his wife Sierra Jordan Flesner; daughters Dilynn Simone and Elaina Rose Flesner; parents Leslie and Regan Flesner; brother Aaron Flesner and wife Traci Bartgis; grandparents Charles and Carol Merrell, Carol Gifford and David and Judy Flesner.

A memorial service to celebrate Derek's life will be 2 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2020 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
