Dick was eighty-nine years old when he passed away March 7, 2011 in Oklahoma City. He was a four-year Navy veteran of World War II having served on a torpedo boat in the north and south Pacific and later on a destroyer escort. Dick, an Indiana University Alumni, was an independent geologist in Oklahoma for many years. He was a member of Greystone Presbyterian Church having been a deacon and an elder. Dick is survived by his wife, Willena, and sons Tom and Joe. A memorial service will be held March 17th, 2:00 p.m. at Greystone Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Goodland Academy (Boys Home), 1216 North 4200 Road, Hugo, OK. 74743 or to the donor’s charity of choice.
