Dolores Knecht (94) of Tampa, FL passed away on February 10, 2026. Born in Chicago, IL on July 2, 1931 to Michael and Mary (Skodon) Rusnak. Predeceased by her parents and her husband of 31 years, Henry J. Knecht. Survived by her children: Janet (Lanny) Hintz, Geneseo, IL; Joyce Knecht (Teo Contreras), Houston, TX; John (Charlene) Knecht, Brandon, FL; and Joanne Knecht (Tom Scott), Lithia, FL; plus 12 grandchildren: Nathan (Colleen) Hintz, and Patrick (Polly) Hintz; Leandra (Michael) Reyes, Marissa Contreras and Michael Contreras; Christina (Chris) McMurtry and Jake Knecht; Joel (Caitlin) Scott, Jordan (Kelly) Scott, Justine (Aaron) Fullenwider, Jacob (Andrea) Scott, and Josee Scott (Wyatt Edsall); 13 great-grandchildren, her brother Richard Rusnak, Crete, IL, and extended family in the Chicago area and throughout the country. There will be a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, Brandon, FL.
A committal service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 10:00 am at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, located at 7500 W Britton Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73132, US.
