

Donald Wayne Jacks, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully November 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 17, 1947, in Prescott, Arkansas, to Lloyd D. Jacks and Helen Marie (Pierce) Jacks.
Don grew up in Camden, Arkansas, and later moved to Phillipsburg, Kansas, where he met the love of his life, Rebecca (Becky) Ann Bowman. The two were married on September 27, 1969, and shared 56 wonderful years together.
Don earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Oklahoma City University in 1969. He built a remarkable 50-year career in the insurance industry and held the designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
A man of integrity, Don was known for his steadfast faith, devotion to family, and love of dogs and cars, especially his first, a 1967 GTO during his college years, and his current 2003 Honda S2000 (only driven on pretty days). His family fondly remembers him as “Papa–Uber,” for his joy in driving his grandkids wherever they needed to go. He was a dependable family man who lived his values every day through kindness, humor, and quiet strength.
He is survived by his wife, Becky; three children, Christopher Donald Jacks and wife Monica of Jones, OK, Kelly Elizabeth Jacks Reed and husband Lane of Edmond, OK, and Kimberly Ann Jacks Berry and husband Chad of Edmond, OK, his siblings, Betty Claire Peacock and husband Tommy; and Nancy Dawson.
He leaves cherished memories with his nine grandchildren, Maya Jacks and husband Collyn Kellogg, Jack Reed, Madeline Jacks Kelly and husband Callahan Kelly, Henry Berry, Julia Reed, Lawson Jacks, Eli Berry, Drew Reed, Oliver Berry and one great-granddaughter Caroline Kelly. He was also blessed with many beloved nieces and nephews, and countless friends who adored his presence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Helen Jacks, brother Lloyd D. Jacks II, sister-in-law Shirley Jacks and niece Rose Marie Jacks.
Don’s service will be 11:00am Wednesday, November 26 at United Methodist Church of the Servant, 14343 N MacArthur Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK.
