

Don Lee Windle, 80, was born the third of five children to John Ezel Windle, Sr. and Lorene Doris (Lytle) Windle in North Hollywood, California on October 6, 1941. The family moved back to Oklahoma City when Don was a few months old. He attended schools in Nicoma Park and Choctaw graduating from Choctaw High School in 1959. In February 1962, Don joined the Navy serving a total of 8 years. After leaving the Navy he joined the Oklahoma City Fire Department retiring after 27 years of service.
In 1966, he married and acquired a step-son, Kevin Williams. His daughter, Lisa LaDawn Windle, was born in 1968. In 1979, he married Donna Jean Cole acquiring a step-daughter, Sandra Cole. Don was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Judith Ann Clapp.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Jean Windle of the home; his daughter, Lisa Westbrook and husband George; step-daughter, Sandy Flores and husband Lupe; grandchildren, Justine Douglass, Katelyn and Michael Flores; brother, John E. Windle, Jr. and wife Juanita; sisters, Doris Wertz and Evelyn Sons; 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Don will be held Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Bill Eisenhour NE Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. Funeral services for Don will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 10, 2022 at the Bill Eisenhour NE Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City, OK.
