

Donna Marice Peebles (Nana), 73, went home to be with Jesus on June 12, 2022 after her battle with cancer. She went peacefully surrounded by family at her home in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Donna was born February 13, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to JD and Maxine Straily. Donna graduated from Choctaw High School. Besides her full time job of being a wife, mother, and Nana; she served in her church, was a secretary at Choctaw High School and a Chemical Lab at Tinker Air Force Base, finally ending her career as a purchasing agent for the Navy.
Donna married the love of her life, John Peebles on July 25, 1981. Together they shared a beautiful blended family. Jesus was the center of her life. Her passions included – being the biggest Oklahoma Sooners football fan, eating Chick-fil-a, and most importantly spending beach time with her family. Her hobbies were her grandchildren, her Yorkie babies, quilting, camping and of course shopping!
She will be remembered by the many as shining with the light of Jesus and touching everyone with her kindness. Her exuberant personality made everyone feel welcomed, loved and an immediate part of the family. Donna is preceded in death by her son; Brandon Baxter her sister; Pat Bare her brothers; Rick and Max Straily and her parents; JD and Maxine Straily. She is survived by her loving husband John Peebles, James Lathon Baxter (Pam), Chad Weldon (Jessica) and Wendy Stroup, and her adored grandchildren; Jamie Baxter, Marissa Baxter, Ethan Baxter, Emma Baxter, Jodie Forte, Shelby Weldon, Paul Shelton Stroup, Kassidy Stroup, and John Stroup.
Visitation will be at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home at 8805 NE 23rd St, Midwest City, Oklahoma on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 4 – 8pm. The funeral will be held at Country Estates Baptist Church at 1000 S. Midwest Blvd., Midwest City, Oklahoma at 10am on Thursday, June 16, 2022 with a graveside service to follow at Elmwood Cemetery – 1800 N. Choctaw Rd, Choctaw, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the American Cancer Society, or the Building Fund at Country Estates Baptist Church.
