Ernest Anthony Demers

He was very proud of his time spent in the United States Air Force and retired after 42 years of combined military and civilian service. He enjoyed trout fishing, camping, the Detroit Tigers, and summer trips to his hometown in Michigan.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Shannan Demers; siblings, Corrine Riis, Robert Demers and Linda Klarich. Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Carolyn; children, Eric Demers (Becky), Kristi Coughran, Brian Demers; grandchildren, Kayla Higgins (John), J.R. and Jimmy Coughran, Erin and Wesley Demers; great-grandsons, Mason Demers and Kenneth Higgins; siblings, Myrna Hubble (Bill), Cliff Demers (Diane); and his little Chiweenie, B.G.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 and from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursdsay, March 28, 2013 at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel. Military Honors will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
