Farah Cox, while surrounded by her family, passed away on June 17, 2025, at the age of 48 at her home in Edmond, OK. Farah has a deep faith in our Lord and Savior and immediately was in the presence of God when she took her last breath. Though her earthly journey concluded, Farah embraced this transition with unwavering faith knowing she was ready for her eternal home in Heaven. This belief sustained her throughout her life, and especially during the past 15 months, as she fiercely fought kidney cancer that ultimately took her life. Her family finds profound comfort and peace in her love for our Savior Jesus Christ knowing she is now in Heaven, alongside those who have gone before her.
Farah was born on October 18, 1976 to Bobby and Tanna Besherse in Duncan, Oklahoma. Farah grew up in a loving household with her parents, sister, and brother and attended Duncan High School. While in high school, Farah was active in show choir, Immanuel Baptist youth group, 4H and won a Grand Champion ribbon at the Oklahoma State Fair with the mini Rex rabbit she raised.
Farah and her husband loved each other deeply and rarely spent a night apart during their 30 years as husband and wife. Farah often reminded her daughters that God was first in her life and Bradley was second. She was a loving wife and modeled Proverbs 31 in her life and marriage.
Farah poured everything into her 3 daughters, Brookelyn, Meredith, and Camille, and has prepared them well to continue her legacy. She is so proud of them and the women that they have become.
She dedicated her professional life to serving others earning a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Central Oklahoma. Alongside her lifelong friend, Heidi Bonham, Farah co-owned and operated a successful private practice as a pediatric speech-language pathologist. Her work was more than a profession; it was a calling. She dedicated herself to improving the lives of countless children with her expertise and unwavering care, always viewing her work as a testament to God's love.
Her church was more than a place of worship; it was the place she fulfilled her calling of discipling others. She found immense joy leading women's ministry and classes, serving alongside her husband in their adult connecting group, and volunteering in the children's ministry. Her faith was not just a part of her life - it was her life. It guided every action, every thought, and provided her with immense strength and peace
throughout her whole life. She faced her illness with incredible grace -confident in the promise of eternal life and ready for her heavenly home. She lived her life with an eternal perspective, always pointing to the grace and promise found in her Savior.
Beyond her professional and spiritual devotion, Farah cherished her family above all. She found comfort and joy in spending time with her beloved dogs, Hudson and Annie. She also delighted in cooking comforting dinners for her family, seeing these moments as blessings. Above all, Farah was a remarkable daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and wife, who loved her family with grace and wisdom and was grounded in her faith. She cherished evenings filled with card games with her loved ones, creating treasured memories.
Farah is survived by her devoted husband, Bradley Cox; her loving daughters, Brookelyn Burk and her husband Cameron Burk, Meredith Cox, and Camille Cox; her adored grandson, Asher Burk; dear parents, Bobby and Tanna Besherse; her sister, Melia Truelock; and brother Josh Besherse and grandfather John Morris. She was preceded in death by her beloved “Nana” Helen Morris, “PaPa” Frank Besherse and “Granny” Barbara Besherse.
While we grieve her absence deeply, we rejoice in the certainty of her heavenly reunion, knowing she is now fully healed and at peace in the presence of her Lord.
