

Frances D. Stagner, 92, of Tulsa, OK passed away December 29, 2016 after a long illness. Frances was born September 8, 1924 in West Salem, IL the daughter of Joy E. Newton and Gladys Mae Cullers & Harold J. Cullers. She was married to Delmar L. Stagner (long standing Oklahoma City attorney) for 47 years before he died in 1994. Her family was the love of her life. She is survived by two daughters Gayle L. Troutman and husband Steve and Donna Grigor and husband Roger all of Tulsa. Frances had 5 grandchildren, Julie Troutman Heritage, David Troutman, Scott Grigor, Brian Grigor and Gerod Grigor. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren. Her rural roots were important Frances as she was raised by her grandparents, Charles and Nora Carson on the family farm in southern Illinois. She moved to Chicago at the age of 13 to join her mother where she attended high school. She met and married her husband Del and moved to Oklahoma City where she attended Memorial Christian Church. In 2007 she moved to Tulsa, OK where she was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church. Frances was beloved with many life loving friends. She will be remembered for her Christian ethics, generosity, good cooking, love of animals and for growing pecans. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Guardian Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at University Village Chapel in Tulsa on Friday, January 6th at 1:00pm.
