Franklin H. Barnett, 86, joined his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in his eternal home, on May 20, 2020 in Oklahoma City. Frank was born to Jay W. Barnett and A. Marie Barnett on March 16, 1934 in Timber Lake, South Dakota.
Frank was known for his joyous wit, steadfast integrity, and his love for Jesus. If he could have found a way to watch Sooner Football while playing golf with his entire family at church, he might never have left us.
Frank joins in Heaven his beloved son, Ryan and was also preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jay Jr., Leslie, Robert, Johnny, and David. He leaves behind the love of his life and wife of 58 years, Naomi; his brother, Ray Barnett and wife Bonnie, of Rochester, Minnesota; his son Frank Barnett, Jr. and wife Christy, of Kettering, Ohio; his son Brad Barnett and wife Julie of Plano, Texas; his son Jay Barnett and wife Tasa of Edmond; grandchildren Frank III, Justin, Lindsey, Corben, Bryce, Avari, Elise, Christina, and two great-grandchildren, Ava and Emerson.
Visitation will be at Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Monday, May 25th from 6 pm to 8 pm. A celebration of Frank’s life will be held on May 26, 2020 at 2 PM at Heritage Baptist Church, 14317 N. Council Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73142.
