Frans was raised and schooled in Thomas, Oklahoma. He attended SWOSU and earned degrees in Mathematics and Physics graduating in 1941. Frans was a WWII veteran serving in US Navy, earning an honorable discharge in 1946. Frans married Alice Beatrice Thomas in 1949. Frans retired in 1978 from a successful career in Geophysics, serving the oil and gas industry.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Cleo Caldwell and brothers J, Roy, and Lowell (better known as “Brownie”). Frans is survived by his wife Alice Hammons.
A Memorial Service will be held for Frans at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, October 11th, 2012 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel.
